Daniel Martinez

Regional Member, Central | City of Sanger

Mr. Martinez is a lifelong resident of Sanger, graduate of Sanger High School, and earned a Bachelor's Degree from California State University, Fresno in Natural Sciences.

Career

Prior to being elected to represent District 3, Mr. Martinez served eight years on the Sanger Planning Commission, which included a tenure as vice-chairman. Mr. Martinez currently serves on the Fresno Economic Opportunities Commission (EOC) Board of Commissioners representing Target Area D.  In 2019, he was appointed by the President of the League of California Cities to serve on the  league's "Governance, Transparency & Labor Relations" Policy Committee. For 2020, Mr. Martinez has been appointed to serve on the League of California  Cities " Environmental Quality" Policy Committee. In addition to this appointment, he will also continue to serve on the League's Executive Committee for the South San Joaquin Division as the Fresno County Representative.  

Personal Life

Mr. Martinez is married and has two young daughters.
