Veronica Vargas | Treasurer

Mrs. Veronica Vargas was elected to the Tracy City Council in November 2014. Mrs. Vargas is a native Argentinian and the second oldest of five children. Believing Tracy was the perfect place to live and raise children, her family moved to the city in 1998. Veronica resides in Tracy with her husband Patrick, and they are the proud parents of six children.

Veronica has been active in the community over the past several years. She was a Tracy Planning Commissioner before taking her elected seat with the Tracy City Council. Prior to her appointment to the Planning Commission, she was the Chairwoman for Measure E Oversight Residential Committee and a soccer coach for the Tracy Youth Soccer League. Previously, Veronica was a board member at Central Catholic High School.
Veronica is also a member of the Tracy Latin Athletic Club, the Tracy African American Association, the Central Valley Realtor Association, and the Tracy Chamber of Commerce.

Veronica currently works as a Chief Executive Officer of Agora Land in Tracy, and previously worked as a Development Director for Trumark Homes for roughly 4 years. Her experience in land development, planning and entitlements spans over a 19 year period, and has provided her the opportunity to work on a wide range of successful and high profile projects. Over this time, she has worked as a Project Manager, Project Engineer, Senior Forward Planner, Senior Level Executive Project Manager, and Business Developer for a variety of developers and construction management companies. Her experience includes Architectural Design, Land Planning, Project Entitlements, Project Management and Budgeting.

Veronica’s broad range of qualifications and experience with both the public and private sectors makes her a valuable asset to any organization. She is particularly skilled at meeting deadlines and keeping all stakeholders informed and updated. Her initiative, attention to detail and determined follow-through, provides the public, clients, and staff with the supervision and support necessary for successful projects.
